Vivid images of the Australian landscape, kangaroos, and students are evident amongst the multimedia displays, course details, and postcards at the exhibit of Avondale College in the Exhibition Hall of the General Conference World Session. As a special incentive to visit the booth, some lucky people who display an interest in studying at the school are walking away with free souvenir koala bears!
Avondale is situated on the east coast of Australia and was established by Ellen White in 1897. The College offers a variety of degrees, including Information Technology, International Development, Aviation, Nursing, Pathology, Theology, Outdoor Recreation, Office Administration, Primary & Secondary Teaching, Communication Studies, and more.
“We have already had at least 150 genuine expressions of interest,” states Gail Valentine, a faculty member of the school. “Good value from the Australian dollar, the close proximity to Sydney, and the beautiful campus are great reasons to study at Avondale.”
Graduate student Marian Hankins says that studying at Avondale can be summed up as “fun, friendship and spiritual growth.”
